This is a total immersion programme offering the participant the opportunity to fully integrate into the day-to-day life of a family, learn a lot of Spanish and discover so much more about the local area, people and culture. The programme is available in the small towns and villages close to the city of Malaga.
Malaga is the perfect location for the programme to be based in that during the summer it allows the Irish participants to live a typical Spanish summer, making gazpacho, going to the beach or the pool, having siesta and going out for tapas!
One of the advantages of this programme is that it is probably the most intensive way to advance Spanish language practice in a short space of time. The host families are very carefully selected and are caring and welcoming, most of them with teenage children at home, and all of them keen to share their culture with a visitor.
The participant might find that a typical day is perhaps going to a beach or forest for a picnic, doing the shopping, going out to buy the bread for lunch, visiting other family members, spending time doing sport with the host family´s children and perhaps also the opportunity to meet some of their friends.

- Participants should have a conversational level of Spanish in order to benefit from this programme
- Arrival airports: Malaga from 60€ return (price might increase very slightly depending on location of host family)
- Arrivals and departures: Saturdays or Sundays ideally from 10h-17h.
- Students must be motivated and comply with family rules.
