San Sebastian has long been one of the most adored cities in Spain by the Spanish people. Combining gorgeous beaches right in the middle of town and renowned culinary and cultural tradition it is easy to understand why.
La Concha beach is the most famous, but not the only one in the city, and has been voted one of the best beaches in Europe! This programme welcomes students aged 14-17 from all over the world to learn Spanish together in this amazing destination.
Our partner school is located just 10 minutes from the old town and the Zurriola beach. The building boasts a spacious open-air terrace with refreshments area, library, multi-media and 17 classrooms.
Accommodation is arranged with local host families on a full board basis and it is also possible to share a room with a friend if so desired. San Sebastian is a small city and hosts are located either within walking distance or a short bus journey from school.
Week-day mornings are spent in class with 20 lessons each week. In the afternoons there are 3 afternoon activities organised on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Once a week on Saturday there is a full day outing included for all participants.
Students are supervised at the school and during all activities/outings by programme co-ordinators.
It is possible to sign up for additional optional extras such as surfing or cooking classes if so desired. Due to the intensive 20 sessions per week and additional project this is also a good option for students taking Spanish for Leaving Cert.
