Vannes is a gorgeous medieval market town in the South Brittany region and a wonderful base from which to explore the fantastic coastline of the Gulf of Morbihan together with local walking guides.
This 6-night, 1-week holiday is just perfect for those participants who are wishing to improve French language skills while discovering what is absolutely one of the most beautiful coast lines in the country.
The programme is based on accommodation with a local host family who live in the city of Vannes. It is suitable for people who have already a basic level of conversational French. The walking programme with the teacher guide will include some of the following itineraries:
- Tour of the city and introduction to the history of Vannes.
- A visit to the local market and speciality food shops including tasting.
- Ferry ride to the Ile aux Moines, the biggest island of the Morbihan gulf and walk around the island enjoy the quiet sand beaches and colourful local cottages.
- Ferry ride to the Ile de Arz and walking tour of the island to discover the maritime tradition.
- Vannes to Séné: 20 km coastal walk.
