This is a fantastic opportunity for adults who are looking for a more economical yet rewarding way in which to improve their French, immerse themselves in local culture and live a unique experience for at least 1 month.
The programme is based on the concept that participants are matched with a suitable host family in different locations in France. Participants must be aged at least 18 years old, under 60 years old and have completed a minimum of secondary school education. In exchange for board and lodging with the family the participant will give 15 hours per week tuition to family members in English.
There is no need to have a teaching qualification, simply to be enthusiastic and show willing during the classes. Classes are conducted in an informal way, from conversation and writing for adults to games for children.
Programme is available in different regions of France depending on dates and host family availability. Minimum stay of 1 month and maximum stay of 3 months. It is important to have at least an intermediate level of spoken French before embarking on this programme.
