This Italian language and culture course is perfect for mature adults who are looking for a different sort of holiday, immersing themselves in the language and culture of the country they are visiting. What makes this holiday special is that it brings together a small group of people (normally aged 50+) who take part in classes visits, cooking lessons, workshop and food and wine itineraries together for 2 weeks.
Based out of Florence and held twice per year (spring and autumn) it is suitable for participants who have at least a basic understanding of Italian as all visits and workshops will be conducted in this language. Classes are held in the mornings and then in the afternoons the city visits, cooking classes and visits to a local winery or Italian fashion outlet. The outings include visits to places such as Siena, Cinque Terre and San Gimignano.
Accommodation is not included but participants have the option of having the school arrange this an additional cost if they so prefer. Many of the participants choose to stay independently in centrally located pensiones or hotels.
